Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is published on behalf of S.S.DALEY Limited (“S.S.DALEY”) in line with the requirements of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines our commitment to identifying, preventing, and addressing the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and throughout our supply chain.
Our Commitment
At S.S.DALEY, we uphold the principles of dignity, fairness, and respect for human rights. We are committed to eradicating any form of forced labour or human trafficking within our business and expect the same from our suppliers and partners. Ethical integrity is central to our operations, and we actively foster an environment that encourages transparency, accountability, and compliance with the highest ethical standards.
Our Team and Workplace Culture
We are dedicated to maintaining an honest, respectful, and lawful working environment. S.S.DALEY strictly prohibits all forms of modern slavery and ensures compliance with employment laws, including those related to minimum wage, anti-discrimination, anti-corruption, and equal opportunities.
Employees are encouraged to report concerns related to unethical practices, including those within our supply chain, without fear of retaliation. Open communication and ethical vigilance are key to our internal culture.
Supply Chain and Due Diligence
Our supply chain includes the sourcing of fabrics and raw materials, as well as the manufacturing of garments. We work with partners across the UK, Italy, Turkey, China, India, Japan, France and Portugal.
Before engaging with suppliers, we carry out rigorous due diligence, including ethical assessments, background checks, and site visits. We select partners based not only on capability but also on their ethical and legal compliance. Where necessary, we reserve the right to audit suppliers and require corrective actions.
We maintain ongoing oversight of our partners and are actively developing more robust tools to assess and mitigate risks in higher-risk regions or categories.
Risk Assessment
S.S.DALEY continuously evaluates risk across its global supply chain, considering factors such as location, labour intensity, and the nature of the goods and services involved. Where risks are identified, we work collaboratively with suppliers to implement improvements and uphold the ethical standards we expect.
Employee Awareness and Training
We believe education is vital in addressing the challenges of modern slavery. Our Development and Production teams are trained in identifying and addressing labour-related risks. Key personnel are equipped with the knowledge to carry out supply chain due diligence and are involved in mentoring other team members.
We plan to expand training programmes to cover broader topics, including environment, health, and safety, to further embed responsible practices across our business.
Future Actions
S.S.DALEY is continually strengthening its approach to ethical sourcing and responsible production. We are exploring the adoption of a third party platform for responsible sourcing to support our internal monitoring and compliance efforts.
In addition, we are finalising updated supplier terms which mandate adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. These new terms also require suppliers to demonstrate consideration for the welfare of workers and the environmental impact of their operations.
Conclusion
This statement reflects our ongoing efforts to promote ethical practices and combat modern slavery in all forms. S.S.DALEY remains committed to transparency and continuous improvement in ensuring a fair, safe, and respectful working environment for all individuals connected to our business.
